Jason Rosen is the founding and Managing Partner of Rosen & Associates and is recognized by the Law Society of Ontario as a Certified Tax Law Specialist. He most recently lectured in Tax Law & Practice at Lincoln Alexander School of Law, contributed to Materials on Canadian Income Tax (17th edition), and currently serves as an Executive Member of the Ontario Bar Association.
Jason provides assertive and effective representation through a proactive, client-centred approach for both domestic and international clients. He has developed a comprehensive understanding of tax procedure and dispute resolution, advising clients in a wide range of matters involving provincial and federal tax authorities. He represents individual taxpayers, sole proprietors and small to medium-sized corporations which has included appearing as counsel of record before the Tax Court of Canada, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal.
In addition to litigation, Jason advocates for his clients through various dispute resolution stages, including audits and objections. He negotiates collections arrangements, prepares taxpayer relief applications to address discretionary amounts (including interest and penalties), as well as manages all aspects of the Voluntary Disclosures Program.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Ryerson University. He began his legal studies at Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia, and completed his JD at the University of Windsor in Ontario.
Jason’s experience enables him to provide high-quality tax advice. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, playing hockey and golf, and staying current with technological trends.
