I highly recommend RK tax law. I thought that I could handle emigrating from Canada to the US myself... and I was wrong! I incorrectly filed my taxes and CRA came looking for me to pay over $40,000 in taxes on my US income. I hired Rosen & Associates to review my taxes and represent me in the CRA inquiry. They were very thorough in their information gathering and fought to have me considered a non-resident retroactive. The CRA ultimately agreed with their assessment and removed all taxes to my US income (which should have been done in the first place.) Money well spent. Very disappointed with there service, final cost was over DOUBLE! the original worst case scenario estimate of $5-10K in our original consultation Mr. Rosen had all the confidence that they would win ( of course ) $21K + later we recieved a judgement not in our favour and for reason that was never brought up until the day we were in court ( we were blind sided ) We ended up spending almost the same amount of money that we were disputing. This was my first and main concern we discussed before hiring this law firm, what a waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend this law firm. Good luck to anyone hiring lawyers and put your hard earned money trust in them.

I scheduled a free 15 minute consultation offered on RK website but got a call that this 15 minute consultation will need to be paid for because the payment is required by the "law society of Canada". I recently contacted them to assist me with a personal income tax issue. I had been late in filing and because I was given a severance package and my pension transferred out, I was in a high tax bracket. They helped me get the interest relief and penalties waived.

This is my story With Rosen & Associates Tax Law. Through fault of my own I didn't notify the CRA of an address change when I moved into a condo I bought, 16 months later I sold it and made some decent cash of the sale. About a year later I get a letter from the CRA saying I owe them $45000 almost half was from penalties and interest! Calling the CRA to plead my case was a useless cause so I decided to hire a tax accountant (about $3500 if I remember correctly), that also proved to be ineffective, the CRA still wanted the 45K. Now my only option was to call a lawyer. I called up a few tax law firms and they all wanted money for a consultation, some were asking for $500 just for 30 minutes. I finally stumbled across Rosen & Associates and thank God that I did! To make an already long story short, Jasn provided me with a free consultation and walked me through what would happen throughout my case.
