Personal Experience

Bhavika is an Associate at Rosen and Associates Tax Law. She was conferred her Juris Doctorate from Queen’s University in June of 2023. Prior to law school, she completed her Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University with a focus on Accounting and Finance through the DeGroote School of Business.

Bhavika’s previous experience in Real Estate has allowed her to develop a deeper understanding of the industry from a transactional and a legal perspective. While attending law school, Bhavika completed an externship at the Department of Justice Canada as a Legal Intern where she focused her training on Directors’ Liability claims and regulations regarding transfer pricing.

Bhavika believes in using her legal training to provide services to marginalized and racialized communities. As a result, she spent her 2L summer at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic in Toronto working with organizations supporting victims of violence. Furthermore, as an active member of the Queen’s Law Community, she led several projects hosted by Pro Bono Students Canada informing and educating local business in the Kingston Community of their legal obligations. Bhavika is also often seen volunteering with various community-based organizations, such as the International Tamil Refugee Assistance Network (I-TRAN).

In her spare time, Bhavika enjoys travelling, cooking and, exploring local family-run restaurants seeking hidden food treasures.
