Personal Experience
Athanasia Thalia Petsis is returning as an Articling Student following her Summer term at Rosen & Associates. She completed the Dual JD program at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
During her 1L year, she worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Myra Tawfik at the University of Windsor and participated in the Tax Clinic Project for Pro Bono Students Canada. That summer, she completed a Privacy Summer Internship in Compliance at an investment firm.
In her 2L and 3L year, Thalia further developed her research skills as a Research Assistant to The NextGen CTO Program at EPICentre Windsor. As the President of the Windsor Hellenic Law Students’ Association and an If/When/How member, she actively participates in various clubs and organizations at Windsor Law and Detroit Mercy Law.
Before starting law school, Thalia completed a double Bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business, with a minor in French, from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She also completed multiple internships at a Big Five Bank during this time.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Thalia went on to work in Finance for a Big Four for over two years. During this time, she also earned a Master of Science in Business Analytics with a concentration in Big Data.
Thalia was a former Division 1 student-athlete at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she represented the university on the Women’s Soccer team.
