Personal Experience
James is an experienced tax lawyer that is called to the bar in two provinces and has dedicated the past eight years of practice focusing on tax controversy and tax planning.
James has represented clients in various courts, including the Tax Court of Canada, Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. James advises clients on corporate reorganizations, estate freezes, succession planning, the Lifetime Capital Gain Exemption, residency issues, GST/HST matters, and other tax planning strategies.
James has successfully completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Program and has contributed to various tax publications and commentary.
