Shruti Khurana
Personal Experience
Shruti Khurana is a Student-at-Law at Rosen & Associates Tax Law. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she completed the Tax Stream of the Juris Doctor program. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with a major in Business Law.
Shruti has developed a strong interest in tax law, with particular experience in Canadian and international tax matters. During law school, she participated in the Bowman Tax Moot as a 1L researcher, where she developed a strong foundation in General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR) analysis. She also participated in the International Tax Student Case Competition in Montreal, where her team received an Honourable Mention. As part of her international tax studies, Shruti completed the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) materials in international tax law and received a certificate of completion.
Shruti’s advocacy experience includes winning the Tort Law Moot in 2025. She also served as Vice President External of the Legal & Literary Society at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she was responsible for club management, coordinating student organizations, and supporting the planning and management of events.
Prior to and during law school, Shruti gained practical experience in real estate law, working in a Real Estate Law Office where she managed numerous private mortgage files. This experience strengthened her practical legal skills and developed her interest in the intersection of law, numbers, and financial matters. She also briefly worked as a Court Reporter, gaining first-hand familiarity with courtroom procedures and the day-to-day workings of the court.
Outside of law, Shruti is a passionate dancer who has explored a variety of dance forms. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family and brings creativity, discipline, and a strong commitment to learning to both her professional and personal pursuits.
