Personal Experience
Michelle is an Associate at Rosen & Associates.
During her time with us as a Summer Law Student in 2022, she assisted clients with various matters, including objections, appeals, voluntary disclosures, taxpayer relief, real estate dispositions, business formations, contract drafting and review, judicial review, and tax litigation before the Tax Court of Canada, among others.
Michelle returns to Rosen & Associates with experience as an IPC Law Student at one of the largest retailers in North America where she supported in-house counsel in overseeing legal, regulatory, and risk-management operations in the retail, corporate, and e-commerce sectors. She worked closely with executive officers to ensure due diligence and compliance across multiple practice areas, including corporate/commercial law, real estate law, contract law, privacy law, civil litigation, labour and employment law, and trade law.
Michelle conferred her Juris Doctor degree in June 2023 as part of the inaugural class of the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University. During her time in law school, Michelle served as the Founding President of Innocence Lincoln, worked as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator of her law school’s chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada, and was a Student Representative on the law school’s EDI Council. Due to her active leadership involvement and academic achievements, she received several awards, such as the Dale H. Lastman Leadership Scholarship.
Prior to attending law school, Michelle obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Psychology at York University, graduating with distinction. She has experience in a diverse range of occupational fields, including private equity, business, psychology, aquatics, retail, and the service industry.
Michelle takes great pride in delivering results and is not one to shy away from challenges and new experiences.
Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog, travelling, watching hockey, and exploring new restaurants in Toronto.
